Hans GCP Schikan - Chief Executive Officer

Hans GCP Schikan, Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Prosensa. He has more than 20 years senior managerial experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Before joining Prosensa in January 2009, he was VP Global Marketing and Strategic Development for Genzyme’s rare genetic disease franchise. In this position he oversaw the launch of various orphan drugs globally. Prior to Genzyme, Hans worked at Organon in various senior business roles and across different geographies, including managing director positions in multiple countries. Hans holds a PharmD degree from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
